Mrs. Catherine D. Williams, 67, Sunbury

SUNBURY — Mrs. Catherine D. Williams, 67, Scott Tower, 705 Market St, died Tuesday evening in Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. Born in Natalie [Miners Mills, Luzerne County] Feb. 23, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Evan and Betsy [Bessie] Thomas. She was married to Kenneth E. Williams for 49 years. She was the former owner of Kit’s Kitchen, Northumberland, RD 1, retiring a number of years ago. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Sunbury.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Kenneth T. of Hacienda Heights, Calif., and David J. of State college; a daughter, Catherine Geistwite of Lebanon, and seven grandchildren. The funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday at Ernest Korten Jr. funeral Home, Sunbury, by the Rev. John G. Conz. Burial will be in Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington. There will be no viewing.

At the age of 67, she died in Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, Montour County, PA, on 21 Apr 1987. She was buried in Northumberland Memorial Park, Sunbury, Stonington, Northumberland County, PA, on 24 Apr 1987. Funeral Director, Ernest Korten Jr, 1309 Susquehanna Ave., Sunbury, PA 17801.



Kenneth Earl Williams, son of Henry E (1882 - 1955) and Caroline M [Benfield] (1885 - 1968) Williams was born in Mount Carmel, Northumberland County, PA, on 2 May 1917.

At the age of 73, he died in at the Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg, Union County, PA, on 5 Dec 1990. Cause of death: Pulmonary embolus; arteriosclerotic heart disease. He was buried in Northumberland Memorial Park, Sunbury, Stonington, Northumberland County, PA, on 7 Dec 1990, along side his wife Kit, Lot 66 Graves 1 & 2.

Kenneth Williams, 73, Milton

Kenneth E. Williams, 73, of Kramm Healthcare Center, Milton, formerly of Scott Tower, 705 Market St., Sunbury died this morning, Dec. 5, 1990, at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg. He was born in Mount Carmel, May 2, 1917, a son of the late Henry and Caroline Williams. His wife, the former Catherine D. Thomas, died in 1987. He was employed at BKW Coach Lines, Hummels Wharf, as a bus driver before retiring a number of years ago. Mr. Williams was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Sunbury.
He is survived by two sons, Kenneth T. of Hacienda Heights, Calif., and David J. of State College; one daughter, Catherine L. Geistwite of Lebanon; seven grandchildren; one brother and two sisters.
The funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday at the Ernest Korten Jr. Funeral Home, 1309 Susquehanna Ave., Sunbury, by the Rev. John G. Conz. Burial will be in Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington. There will be no viewing or visitation. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Fund.



On 1 Jan 1938 when Kenneth Earl was 20, he married Catherine Daw THOMAS, daughter of Evan John THOMAS (1890-1950) & Bessie Ferris DAW (1893-1956), in Mount Carmel, Northumberland County, PA: First Congregational Church, Mount Carmel, PA; Catherine Daw was born in Miners Mills, Luzerne County, PA, on 23 Feb 1920.





They had the following children:
i. Kenneth Thomas WILLIAMS
ii. Catherine Louise WILLIAMS
iii. David John WILLIAMS
