Henry & Avis were married 30 Aug 1934 Mount Carmel, PA

Henry was the first born of Henry E & Caroline May [Benfield] Williams. Also, there were seven other children in the family: Bertha Elizabeth, Caroline May, Florence Augusta, Kenneth Earl, Isobel Grace, Roy Edwin, and Charlote Alice. Note all children have passed on.

Henry was in the Army Medical Corps, probably from 1942 until 1945. He went to Texas for basic training and then to Denver to Fitzimmons Army Hospital for training. He was in France for a good bit of the time. Source: Judy [Williams] Zabawsky

The Fitzsimons Army Hospital was used heavily during World War II to treat returning casualties and became one of the Army's premier medical training centers.
