Bertha Elizabeth was born in Mount Carmel, Northumberland County, PA, on 14 Oct 1910, daughter of Henry E [1882-1955] and Caroline May (Benfield) [1885-1968] Williams. At the age of 70, she died in Harrisburg, Dauphin County, PA, on 10 Aug 1981. Bertha was buried in the Mount Carmel Cemetery, Mount Carmel, Northumberland County, PA, on 13 Aug 1981, Section Nine, Row Eight, along side her Father, Henry and Mother Caroline.

Miss Bertha E. Williams

“Miss Bertha E. Williams, 70, of 4210 Williamsburg Drive, Colonial Crest apts., died Monday [August 10, 1981] at home.
She was retired after being a licensed practical nurse at Dauphin County Hospital; a member of Fifth Street United Methodist Church; the Rebekahs; and the OES.
Surviving are three brothers, Henry B. of Shamokin, Kenneth E. of Northumberland and Roy E. of Nazareth; and three sisters, Mrs. Caroline M. Zimmerman of Manoa, Mrs. Isobel G. Brady of Mechanicsburg, and Mrs. Charlotte A. Kelley of Oberlin.
Services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home at 2100 Linglestown Road. The Rev. Donald L. Smith, her pastor, will officiate. burial will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday [August 13, 1981] after 10 a.m.”
