Helen Marie Sponenberg, 73, of Cogan House Township, Trout Run RR 1, died Sunday, May 17, 1998, at home after an illness.

She and her husband, Robert W. SponenbergSr., would have observed their 55th wedding anniversary May 24.

Surviving, besides her husband, are three sons, Robert W. Jr. of Montoursville, Clarence of Trout Run, and Allen L. of Jersey SHore; two daughters, Shirly Harris of Montoursville and Judy Lorsong of Columbia, Md.; a brother Wilbur L. Martz of Trout Run; three sisiters, Betty Marshal of Erie, Madeline Corderman of DuBoistown and Ruth Thompson of Montoursville; 17 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Spitler's, 733 Broad St., Montoursville, with Pastor William Waters, her pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Twin Hills Memorial Park, Muncy RR 2.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday.
