Born 24 Mar 1912 in Hilltown, Bucks County, the only son of Johann and Magdalena nee Wagner, he moved with his parents to Philadelphia about 1914.
At the time of his death on 22 Nov 1972, he was survived by his wife Ruth nee Thomson and a daughter Ruth (3 children), son John, his sister Helen and 9 nieces and nephews.
