Mrs. Goodman, Venus Native, Dies Tuesday
BRADFORD - Mrs. Pearle I. Goodman, 75, of 27 Howard St., died at 3:15 pm Tuesday at the Bradford Hospital where she had been admitted as a patient Monday. She was the wife of Lawrence L. Goodman.
She was born February 20, 1886 at Venus, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Confer.
She and Mr. Goodman were married January 2, 1912. He survives.
Mrs. Goodman was a member and past noble grand of the Queen Esther Rebekah Lodge of Bradford.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by six daughters, Mrs. William (Evelyn) Ross and Mrs. Leo (Marian) Flanders of Bradford, Mrs. Charles (Geraldine) Holden of Chula Vista, Calif., Mrs. Barney (Betty) Finnerty of Lansing, Mich., Mrs. Dorothy Swiger of Geneva, Ohio, and Mrs. William (Ruby) Salada of Custer City; two sons, Burdell L Goodman of Chula Vista, Calif., and Larry Goodman of Mattawan, Mich., 24 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. One daughter, Mrs. William (Lois) Skinner, died January 7, 1950.
Also surviving are three brothers, Lester J. Confer of Newton Falls, Ohio, Henry E. Confer of Coryville and John L. Confer of Custer City, and a sister, Mrs. Leon (Julia) Snyder of Reno.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 pm Friday with Rev. Raymond Hurst, pastor of the Asbury Methodist Church, Bradford, officiating. Interment will be in the family plot in the McKean Memorial Park, Bradford.
