Elizabeth Hornberger, 80, Sunbury

SUNBURY — Elizabeth A. Hornberger, 80, of 530 N. Seventh St. died Tuesday afternoon, June 17, 1997 at ManorCare Services. She was born Sept. 9, 1916, in Lower Augusta Township, a daughter of the late Irvin and Mary (Heim) Fegley. Her husband, Dolin Hornberger, died in 1971.

She was a member of United Lutheran Church, RR 4 Sunbury. She was also a member of the Women of the Moose Lodge, Northumberland.

Surviving are two sons, Arthur R. and Marvin K. Rhoads, both of Sunbury; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Mrs. Hornberger was preceded in death by three brothers, William, Adam and Robert; and one sister, Beatrice.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at United Lutheran Church, RR4 Sunbury, by the Rev. John E. Fenton. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitors may call from 10a.m. until the time of the service Friday at the church. Arrangements were by the Jerre Wirt Blank Funeral Home, 395 State St., Sunbury.
