On 12 Jun 1932 when Clyde Emerson was 21, he first married Josephine Alvesta LONG, daughter of William Tobias LONG (21 Oct 1887-30 Aug 1956) & Mary McKay DUNAMON (1 Feb 1891-10 May 1938), in Hagerstown, MD.
In 1977 when Clyde Emerson was 65, he second married Elda VOUGHT

Charles E. Brosious, Sr

SUNBURY - Clyde E. Brosious, Sr., 70, of 948 Edison Ave., died at 1:29 p.m. Wednesday in the Sunbury Community Hospital. Mr. Brosious was a former employee of the former Hackett’s Hardware Store and Shikellamy School District. He owned and operated a glass shop in Sunbury.

Born in Sunbury, May 16, 1911, he was a son of the late Charles and Katie Foye Brosious. His first wife, the former Josephine Long, died in 1976. He later married the former Elda Vought in 1977, who survives. He was a member of the Bible Baptist Church, Kreamer.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by the following children, William of Selinsgrove RD 5, Mrs. June L Moyer, and Bruce E., both of Northumberland RD1, Frank H. of Drumms, Clyde Jr., John O. and James E., all of Sunbury; 27 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three stepchildren, Mrs. Jean Ests of Florida, and Dale and Larry Hunsinger, both of Toms River, N.J; a sister, Mrs. Helen Oyster of Sunbury RD 4; and the following half brothers and sisters, Mrs. Hannah Metzger and Albert Garinger, both of Sunbury, Mrs. Dorothy Myers of Shady Grove, and Miss Ann Brosious of Spring City. A daughter, Helen died in 1954.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Jerre Wirt Blank Funeral Home, Sunbury, by the Rev. Warren B. Oyster, pastor of the First Baptist Church, Sunbury. Burial will be in Pomfret Manor Cemetery, Sunbury. Friends may call in the funeral home Friday evening.
