(David D. Stone attended Tuscarora Academy before the Civil War. He was from Norfolk, VA, and served in the Confederate Army during the Civil War. He was suppoed to have been captured by his brother-in-law, Capt. James J. Patterson! David and James J Patterson were "co-principals" of Tuscarora Academy in the 1870's. James went west and David became an attorney, practicing in Mifflintown, then went to Washington, DC, where he was a real estate salesman.)
