Obituary:

Lee M. Johnson, 84, a resident of 1842 Exchange Road, Turbotville, PA, passed away on Tuesday, May 1, 2007 in the Geisinger Medical Center following an extended illness. Born in Unityville, Lycoming County, PA, on Monday, December 4, 1922, he was the son of the late Elmer and Ida (Reese) Johnson.

He was the widower of Anna E. (Robbins) Johnson who preceded him in death on April 11, 1989.

Lee served during the Second World War with the U.S. Army in the Asian-Pacific Theatre.

He was retired from the West Co. at Montgomery, PA. He was also a full time farmer.

Lee was a devoted John Deer tractor enthusiast and enjoyed talking politics and joking around. He was a loving father and grandfather.

He is survived by one daughter, Ruth A. Stump, Turbotville, PA; one son and daughter-in-law, Ronald E. and Gloria Johnson, Turbotville, PA; four grandchildren, Jody Banks; Tammy Koch; Eunice Stump; Robert L. Johnson; two brothers, Lester Johnson, Hughesville, PA; Paul Johnson, Turbotville, PA; one sister, Florence Paolino, Cape Coral, FL. He is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by one son, Raymond Johnson; one brother, Hurley Johnson; five sisters, Margaret Edquist, Ruth Lorrow, Dorothy Snyder, Edna McGarvey, Emma Miller.

Funeral services will be conducted from the Galen R. Betzer Funeral Service, 108 North Main Street, Muncy, PA at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, May 4, 2007. Interment will be in the Muncy Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday from 12:00 - 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
