Husband of Katherine (Gita)Garonzik Singer. David came to the US from the town of Neustadt Ponevezh (in Yiddish) in the district of Kovno Guberna, Lithuania, in the early 1890s. They and their children lived in Middletown, Pennsylvania, where the town reminded many Litvaks of the small towns of Lithuania where they immigrated from.
Gita and David had 7 children -- Abe, Samuel, Herman, Charles, Lillian, Harry and Morris.
