Funeral services for Burton W. Burch, forty-eight, who died Wednesday night at Rochester, NY, will take place at 2 p.m. standard time Monday, August 21, in the John Marks Funeral Home, North East, to be followed by interment in the family plot in the Wattsburg Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Agnes McDuald Burch and one daughter, both of Pittsburgh, PA; his parents Mr. and Mrs. G. T. Burch of Wattsburg; five sisters, Mrs. Martha Wentz, of Rochester, NY, Mrs. Bertha Dudley and Mrs. Florence Dudley, both of North East; Mrs. Flora Guerrein, of Erie and Mrs. Grace Kiniry, of Trenton, NJ. Lake Shore Post 105 of the American Legion at North East will be in charge of the services at the grave side. Burch was born Dec 19, 1880, and served on the USS Tennessee and served in the recruiting office at Toronto, Canada, for one and on-half years. He also served in the Canadian Forces in France during the world war for three years. He has been engaged as a painter and interior decorator at Rochester, NY, prior to his death. He was also a member of the Maple Leaf Legion post in Rochester, NY. (Per a marker on his grave, the regiment was 13th Battalion, CEF-LPF of Canada)
