Olin served as a Private with Company C, 121st Infantry Regiment, 8th Infantry Division, US Army, during World War II.
He resided in McKean County, Pennsylvania prior to the war.
He enlisted in the Army on December 8, 1943 in Erie, Pennsylvania. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being employed as a Sales Clerk and also as Married.
Olin was "Killed In Action" in Germany during the war and was awarded the Purple Heart.
