Ricky Allen, son of Gary R and Cindy L (Brosious) Long was born in Sunbury, Northumberland County, PA, on 30 Dec 1969. At the age of 35, he died in Sunbury, Northumberland County, PA, on 21 Apr 2005. Ricky passed away at home with family & friends at his side. Ricky Allen was buried in Promfret Manor Cemetery, Sunbury, PA, on 25 Apr 2005.

Ricky A Long
SUNBURY - Ricky Allen Long, 35, of 40 S. 11th St., went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 21, 2005, after a lengthy battle with brain cancer.
He was born Dec. 30, 1969, in Sunbury, a son of Cindy L. Ulrich of Middleburg and Gary R. Long of Danville.
Ricky attended school in Shikellamy and Selinsgrove school districts and graduated in 1991.
He was employed by Weis Food Service and Reinhart Foods for the past 10 years, where he was an order selector and a supervisor for a period of time.
Ricky loved spending time with his family, was an extremely talented artist and an avid coin collector and fisherman. The companionship of his dog, Paige, was of much comfort to Ricky during his illness.
Surviving, in addition to his parents, are one sister, and her fiancé, Shelly Ann Long and Sam Bower, both of Sunbury; two children, Alex K. Long, 13, of Northumberland, daughter of Adrienne Wadeck, and Ava Marie Long, 3 weeks, of Charleston, S.C., the daughter of Ricky's fiancée, Lorenda Bartosic; two step-brothers, Gary Shoemaker of Danville and Ben Long of Shamokin Dam; his stepfather, Ken M. Ulrich of Middleburg; and aunts; uncles, cousins; and friends.
Visitors may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Jerre Wirt Blank Funeral Home, 395 State St., Sunbury. The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home by the Rev. Charles Cole.
Burial will be in Pomfret Manor Cemetery, Sunbury.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Ricky's memory may be made to place in a trust for his two children. Contributions will be accepted at the Jerre Wirt Blank Funeral Home during the services.
